The Azcom AZ2M series Dual Mode Small Cell is powerful but compact IP67 compliant gNB/eNodeB which can be rapidly deployed and remotely managed in a variety of environments. This cutting edge product is ideally suited for private networks in industrial, defense, public safety, agriculture and mining markets. The product leverages the state of art base station SoCs, processors for higher level stack and integrated RFICs.
5G/4G SUPPORT and NIB/RDN CONFIGURABILITY
The product can run either as a 5G gNB or 4G eNodeB based on system configuration which can be changed anytime remotely through standard SNMP interface. The product leverages the 3GPP compliant carrier grade Azcom PHY and Stack Software IPRs pre-integrated and ported to Azcom’s HW reference platforms.
In addition, the product can support both 3GPP split option 8 and O-RAN split option 7.2x permitting use of external RRH/O-RU to extend power and more bands support.
The system also comes with a configuration hosting additional processing power. This can be used to run 5G/4G Core Network software and SIP/IMS applications. In such configuration, it can run as a complete stand-alone Network (Network-In-a-Box, NIB) providing a Rapid Deployable Network (RDN) for independent local connectivity in a situation of emergency, natural disaster, and applications like battle field. The extra processing power can be also used for running User specific applications

PnP FOR RAPID DEPLOYMENT
The Azcom Small Cell solution is a plug-n-play device that allows for easy and efficient operation, administration and maintenance through the SNMP and CLI protocols. The product has a comprehensive suite of Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance and Security (FCAPS) functions for system management, network and performance monitoring and management. With a few minutes boot time before offering services, the product facilitates rapid service availability that is especially important in case of emergencies and catastrophes.
COMPACT LOW-COST FOOTPRINT
An integrated DFE with efficient DPD and CFR and the use of latest generation power amplifiers offers reduced operating power in smaller form factor. The integrated GbE backhaul facilitates deployment in small spaces while minimizing installation and commissioning costs. The unit has fixtures that allow simple wall or pole mounting. The Small Cell product is very compact and can be carried in a backpack for private and public safety applications. The form factor also enables quick installation and deployment on transport vehicles.

APPLICATIONS
The Azcom Small Cell product is suitable solution for a variety of applications. Private enterprises can leverage it to provide Voice, Video and Push-To-Talk (PTT) services, in addition to workforce management. Other interesting scenarios include industrial (e.g. mining, power), defense, public safety and maritime applications. This product can be effectively used to provide connectivity to IoT sensors employed in smart agriculture. Sensors can thus be remotely monitored and key parameters such as soil, moisture, temperature and water levels autonomously adjusted to significantly improve crop yield. Mining operations require management of autonomous vehicles without drivers that are used to carry payload from the mine to the collection point. Management includes truck sensor data, critical videos, security and safety of equipment along with multi-media services for management personnel. The backhaul links are secured and encrypted with IPSec configuration.
The Azcom Small Cell product is end-to-end tested for interoperability with a variety of end user devices like smartphone, tablets, dongles, CPEs routers and with EPC solutions. It offers an extremely compelling total cost of ownership (TCO) while significantly optimizing time-to-market (TTM).
