The Azcom AZI series NB-IoT eNodeB is a powerful but compact IP67 compliant product that offers NB-
IoT connectivity on top of LTE features. LTE services like voice, video and data are available
simultaneously with IoT device applications enabling humans and devices to interact seamlessly with
ubiquitous connectivity.
Standalone Operation
The system also comes with a configuration hosting additional processing power. This can be used to run NB-IoT+4G Core Network software and SIP/IMS applications. In such configuration, it can run as a complete stand-alone Network (Network-In-a-Box, NIB) providing independent local connectivity. The extra processing power can be also used for running User specific applications. The optional backhaul connectivity via fiber, microwave links or satellite can be used for integrating into an existing network infrastructures

PnP FOR RAPID DEPLOYMENT
The Azcom AZI product is a plug-n-play device that allows for easy and efficient operation,
administration and maintenance through the CLI and SNMP protocol. The product has a
comprehensive suite of Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance and Security (FCAPS) functions
for system management, network and performance monitoring and management. With a few minutes
boot time before offering services, the product facilitates rapid service availability that is especially
important in case of emergencies and catastrophes.
COMPACT LOW-COST FOOTPRINT
An integrated DFE with efficient DPD and CFR and the use of latest generation power amplifiers offers reduced operating power in smaller form factor. The integrated GbE backhaul facilitates deployment in small spaces while minimizing installation and commissioning costs. The unit has fixtures that allow simple wall or pole mounting. The product is very compact and can be carried in a backpack for private and public safety applications. The form factor also enables quick installation and deployment on transport vehicles.

APPLICATIONS
The Azcom AZI NB-IoT product is a suitable solution for a variety of applications. Private enterprises can leverage the eNodeB to provide voice, data and video connectivity in addition to IoT management. Among the most interesting scenarios include agriculture and industrial (e.g. mining, energy) applications. Precision agriculture uses IoT applications to help farmers to increase the quality, quantity, sustainability and cost effectiveness of production. Plant, soil moisture, nutrients and fertilizers, water usage and weather conditions are monitored and reported. Livestock are tracked to identify sick animals to prevent spread of diseases using sensors with enough battery power to last the lifespan of the animals. For mining applications, the IoT devices are mounted on vehicles and provide critical information on vehicle health that facilitates automated fleet management. Smart metering with IoT sensors in power applications can help conserve energy and also monitor system health.
The AZI NB-IoT product is end-to-end tested for interoperability with a variety of LTE and NB-IoT end user devices and with EPC solutions. It offers an extremely compelling total cost of ownership (TCO) while significantly optimizing time-to-market (TTM)
