The AZB-4000 module is based on one of the most advanced and powerful multi-core SoC to run and manage physical layer (L1), L2 and L3 stacks. Access technology specific accelerators provide a simple and reliable way to implement the PHY layer. The high performance SoC is well suited to implement advanced LTE features like In-band and Gaurd-bandNB-IoT, ,carrier aggregation, higher order MIMO, cross carrier scheduling, co-operative multi point transmission and reception, beamforming. Optimization and acceleration engines are also available on the SoC to optimize the data path, improving overall throughput and capacity of the BBU. A pluggable GPU enables embedded implementation of EPC functions and, therefore, realization of a compact LTE NIB solution.

The AZB-4000 supports all the essential high speed communication interfaces like GBe and CPRI. Appropriateconfigurations of these interfaces can enable multiple, flexible deployment configurations.
