AZCOM AZB series outdoor LTE BBU
Centralized Outdoor RAN BBU Platform
The Azcom AZB cBBU is a state-of-the-art outdoor Baseband Unit product characterized by a passive dissipation casing and the possibility of easy wall or pole installation. The cBBU is a full featured baseband unit that can be deployed with multiple radio-access technologies like LTE, NB-IoT and HSPA+.
Flexible and Scalable Design
The AZB-4001 module is based on one of the most advanced and powerful multi-core SoC to run and manage physical layer (L1), L2 and L3 stacks. Access technology specific accelerators provide a simple and reliable way to implement the PHY layer. The high performance SoC is well suited to implement advanced LTE features like In-band and Gaurd-band NB-IoT, carrier aggregation, higher order MIMO, cross carrier scheduling, co-operative multi point transmission and reception, beamforming. Optimization and acceleration engines are also available on the SoC to optimize the data path, improving overall throughput and capacity of the BBU. A pluggable GPU enables embedded implementation of EPC functions and, therefore, realization of a compact LTE NIB solution.
The AZB-4001 supports all the essential high speed communication interfaces like GBe and CPRI. Appropriateconfigurations of these interfaces can enable multiple, flexible deployment configurations.
